pmf ROOFCRAFT provided the roof and wall covering for ‘Focus House’ in Finsbury Park, North London which won its category as the ‘Best Eco House’ Grand Design Awards 2007

This warm roof system allows the installation of VM Zinc Quartz Plus standing seam on cellular glass insulation without penetrating fastenings.

Foamglas insulation is bonded to the timber structure in hot bitumen, then galvanised steel plates are pushed into the top in another coat of hot bitumen.

A reinforced torch-on membrane is then applied to the whole area. A polythene separation layer is laid ontop which acts as a separation layer.

The VM Zinc Quartz Plus is then laid into position and fixed through to the galvanised plates.
